Mission Statement
I am a divorced mother of 3: 1 just graduated high school and my other 2 are in elementary. I was an ER nurse for 10 years when my career path changed due to addiction. I have a history of trauma and other mental health conditions, and drugs and alcohol were my solutions. I went to my 2nd inpatient treatment on 2/14/14 and that date changed my life forever.
I have managed to remain sober, actively work a program, keep my nursing license, and have worked for 5 years as the Director of Admissions at an adolescent substance abuse facility.
My passion for helping others is renewed and I want to share my experience, strength, and hope with families in need.
As Director of Admissions I developed a specialized skill set:
· verification of insurance benefits
· making a financial determination
· gaining willingness from parents and clients
· assess clients
· made determinations on appropriateness of placement
· schedule admissions
· communicate consistently
· with families
· other treatment centers
· business development, interventionists
· insurance companies
· any necessary communication (probation, Marchman Acts, etc)
